Chris & Christina just recently welcomed the arrival of their first baby, a boy named Nikolas. In fact, Nikolas was born 4 weeks ago and shares his father’s birthday. That has to be one of the best birthday gifts Chris has ever received.

We started the shoot early Saturday afternoon and Nikolas was a real pro. He had also recently started showing the occasional smile but he definitely prefered to relax and stare at the world with his big blue eyes.

Christina decided to give Nikolas a mohawk, which I thought was awesome.

Nikolas was always happy when held by his parents, and we were also treated to a smile.

Don’t Chris and Christina look stunning in these pictures?

Nikolas is stunning as well.

He loves to move his feet. Anytime we would put him face down he would start to wiggle forward which was both hilarious and cute.

There’s something about his musical mobile that just mesmerizes him.

The family portrait, they are no longer just a couple.

Last but not least meet Scooter. The family dog has adapted well to life with a new baby and was happy to lie down beside Nikolas for a few pictures.

Nikolas was an excellent model and his few tears were quickly quelled by either parent. I’m lucky to know Chris & Christina personally, so I’ll have the pleasure of watching Nikolas grow up. Congrats to both of you, looking forward to our next shoot.

When Amit told me he wanted to schedule a surprise photoshoot for his wife, I immediately got excited. You see, Amit is an old colleague of mine but I had yet to meet his wife and daughter. I had seen pictures of his daughter and knew right away that she was going to be photogenic and fun to shoot. It’s no surprise then that the pictures turned out great.

It was a cold October day so we had to shoot quickly to ensure that little Toshani didn’t get too cold. Amit and Shefali did a great job of keeping her warm and smiling.

Toshani was so adorable in her dress. With that smile you can’t tell that it was cold and windy.

A little sun and a pink sweater to warm up.

I don’t think she ever stopped smiling the whole shoot.

They asked me who Toshani looked the most like. When I said she may have her father’s nose, Shefali couldn’t hold back her laugh.

It may have been cold and windy, but we got some great pictures. Amit, you have a lovely family and I hope we get to do this some time again.
